1. Scope of application
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) govern all contractual relationships between the organiser and participants in face-to-face, hybrid and online events. They also apply to additional services such as workshops, evening programmes or digital offerings, unless otherwise agreed.

Any conflicting terms and conditions of the participants shall only apply if they have been expressly confirmed in writing by the organisers.
2. Conclusion of contract and registration
- Registration takes place via the website, by email, by form or in any other form provided by the organiser.
- By submitting the registration, the participant makes a binding offer. The contract is concluded upon receipt of the written or electronic confirmation of registration.
- The organiser reserves the right to reject registrations for good cause (e.g. limited number of participants, lack of payment history, security reasons). The participant must ensure that the information provided during registration is complete and correct. Any changes must be communicated to the organiser without delay.
3. Prices, terms of payment and scope of services
- The invoice will be sent to the participant after conclusion of the contract. The participation fee is payable immediately upon receipt of the invoice, unless a different payment term is specified.
- The scope of services is specified in the respective event description. For face-to-face events, this usually includes access to the event, conference documents and catering during the event.
- Travel, accommodation and other ancillary costs shall be borne by the participant.
- In the event of late payment, the organiser is entitled to exclude the participant from participation until full payment has been made.
4. Rebooking, replacement participants and cancellation
- The participant may name a replacement participant at any time and at no additional cost.
- Withdrawal or cancellation by the participant is excluded after conclusion of the contract.
- A refund of the participation fees – even on a pro rata basis – is excluded.
- The participant reserves the right to prove that no damage or significantly less damage has been incurred.
5. Changes, cancellation and postponement of events
- The organiser is entitled to cancel events for good cause or to adjust their timing and organisation. Good cause includes, in particular:
- Illness or absence of speakers
- Insufficient number of participants
- Official requirements and safety risks
- Cases of force majeure
- The organiser shall inform participants of any changes without delay.
- In the event of cancellation, fees paid will be refunded or, at the participant's discretion, credited towards another event.
- Further claims for damages shall only exist in cases of intent or gross negligence.
- The organiser is entitled to replace speakers with equivalent substitute speakers; this does not entitle participants to withdraw or receive a refund.
- The organiser is entitled to convert face-to-face events into digital formats if this is objectively necessary. In this case, the participation fee remains unchanged, provided that the digital format conveys comparable content.

6. Documents, copyrights and use of digital content
- Participants will receive the documents provided for the event in printed or digital form.
- All documents, presentations, videos and other content are protected by copyright.
- Participants may only use the content for their own purposes. Any reproduction, distribution, publication or commercial use is prohibited without the express written consent of the organiser or copyright holder.
- The organiser does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy or timeliness of the content, especially if it has been provided by speakers.
7. Image and sound recordings
- The organiser may make image, video and sound recordings during the event and use them for documentary, editorial and advertising purposes.
- Participants may object to the use of recognisable recordings of themselves at any time in the future.
- Participants may only make their own recordings with the prior consent of the organiser.
8. Reference citation
By registering, the participant grants the organiser the right to cite the participant's company as a reference (including in advertising communications). This includes, in particular, the disclosure that an employee of the company participated in the event. The participant may object to this use at any time in the future.
9. Liability
- The organiser is liable for damage to life, limb and health in accordance with the statutory provisions.
- The organiser is only liable for other damage in cases of intent or gross negligence or in the event of a breach of essential contractual obligations.
- In the event of a slightly negligent breach of essential obligations, liability shall be limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.
- Liability for indirect damage, in particular loss of profit or lost business opportunities, is excluded.
- Participants are responsible for securing their own technical systems and data during digital events.
10. Data protection
The organiser processes participants' personal data exclusively for the purpose of conducting the event and for communication. In addition, personal data may be processed for analysis, statistical and marketing purposes within the framework of the statutory provisions. 11. Place of performance and jurisdiction
The place of performance is the organiser's registered office. The place of jurisdiction for merchants, legal entities under public law and special funds under public law is Neustadt an der Weinstraße. Mandatory places of jurisdiction remain unaffected.
12. Severability clause
Should individual provisions of these General Terms and Conditions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a provision that comes closest to the economic purpose of the original provision.
