Born in Rome, René Sorrentino moved to Germany with his family in the early 1990s when his father was hired by a renowned wine importer to establish and manage Italian wine brands.

In 1995, the family founded the company GES Sorrentino, and after successfully completing his A-levels and traveling to many wineries, René Sorrentino devoted himself fully to the company, which is dedicated to the direct import of Italian wine to Germany.

He has now been active in the wine world for over 30 years and, as managing director of several companies, has successfully implemented the principle of multichannel marketing in Germany. The idea of acting as a “German office” has since convinced countless wine and food partners, some of whom have been part of the Sorrentino family for decades.
